Dieses in die Gruppe der myeloproliferativen Syndrome gehörende Krankheitsbild kann mit Kopfschmerzen, Parästhesien, zerebralen Ischämien und anderen neurologischen Symptomen einhergehen. Die Therapieempfehlungen variieren je nach Schwere des Krankheitsbildes und werden kurz diskutiert. Bei Auftreten neurologischer Symptome ist eine Senkung der Thrombozytenzahl mit zytostatischen Substanzen zu erwägen.

A woman patient with various neurological signs and symptoms and cutaneous changes is presented. Primary thrombocytosis, a myeloproliferative disorder, was identified as the underlying disease. Among the neurological signs and symptoms headaches, paraesthesia and cerebral ischaemias are encountered frequently. The therapeutic approach varies according to the severity of the disease and includes the use of alkylating agents. This condition should be definitely included in the differential diagnosis of cerebral symptoms.
