Dingguo Zhang et al. Ligation-assisted endoscopic submucosal resection with apical mucosal incision to treat gastric subepithelial tumors originating from the muscularis propria

Study evaluating the efficacy and safety of endoscopic submucosal resection using a ligation device for 14 gastric subepithelial tumors originating from the muscularis propria (mean size 10.7 mm). The complete resection rate was 100 %; the median operative time 18.5 minutes. Perforations occurred in four patients, all of which were treated with endoscopic closure.
