Arne Bleijenberg et al. Implications of different guidelines for surveillance after serrated polyp resection in United States of America and Europe

In a post-hoc simulation, a surveillance strategy that considers histopathologic subtypes of serrated polyps (US Multi-Society Taskforce on colorectal cancer) was compared with a strategy that does not (ESGE guidelines). Despite different criteria being used, most individuals were recommended identical colonoscopy surveillance intervals, suggesting that serrated polyp subtype does not need to be considered as part of surveillance recommendations.
