Naohisa Yoshida et al. Efficacy of precutting endoscopic mucosal resection with full
or partial circumferential incision using a snare tip for difficult colorectal lesions
En bloc R0 endoscopic resection by endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) offers clinical
benefits for laterally spreading colonic lesions; however, success rates decline with
lesions above 15 – 20 mm. Precutting EMR was demonstrated to potentially increase
the resectable lesion size up to 30 mm and enhance overall success.
