Zusammenfassung

Ernährung bzw. Nährstoffe haben ein großes Potenzial für die Prävention und Therapie von Herz-Kreislauf-Erkrankungen. Wie Studien zeigen, gilt dieser Zusammenhang sowohl für verschiedene Ernährungsformen und einzelne Lebensmittelgruppen wie Nüsse, Olivenöl und Fisch als auch für einzelne Nährstoffe, beispielsweise ω-3-Fettsäuren, Magnesium und Vitamin D.
