Abformung ganzer Kiefer: Können Intraoralscanner mit der konventionellen Abformung mithalten?

Die Abformung von ganzen Kiefern oder Kieferabschnitten stellt mit der dreidimensionalen Erfassung intraoraler Strukturen die Basis zur Herstellung von Zahnersatz bzw. Hilfsmitteln wie Bohrschablonen, kieferorthopädischen Apparaturen oder Schienen dar. Somit entscheidet bereits die Qualität der Abformung über den späteren Behandlungserfolg [1].
