Alanna Ebigbo et al. Cost-effectiveness analysis of SARS-CoV-2 infection prevention
strategies including pre-endoscopic virus testing and use of high risk personal protective
equipment.
A rational approach to the various strategies for SARS-CoV-2 infection prevention
was investigated in this cost-effectiveness analysis study. It was concluded that
routine preendoscopy virus testing and concurrent use of high risk PPE only becomes
cost-effective when the prevalence rate in asymptomatic individuals rises to 1 % or
more.
