Gontrand Lopez Nava et al. Primary obesity surgery endoluminal (POSE-2) procedure
for treatment of obesity in clinical practice
This retrospective study demonstrates the apparent efficacy and safety of the POSE-2
system for weight loss in obese patients (mean body mass index [BMI] 35 – 40 kg/m²).
After 1 year, patients’ BMI (measured in less than two-thirds of patients) had decreased
by 7 kg/m². Gastroscopy at 1 year in 15 patients (20 %) showed intact sutures and
a reduction in gastric length compared with baseline.
