Yervant Ichkhanian et al. Management of patients after failed peroral endoscopic myotomy:
a multicenter study
Four different management strategies in 99 patients with failed POEM were compared
in this multicenter study. With a median follow-up of 10 months, those treated by
repeat POEM or pneumatic dilation achieved acceptable and comparable clinical success,
and there was evidence to suggest that a subgroup of patients can achieve symptomatic
relief with conservative management.
