Diverticular disease is among the most common conditions encountered in medical practice, associated with medical morbidity such as inflammation, pain, bleeding, strictures, and perforation. Despite diverticula often making colonoscopy more challenging, particularly in the sigmoid colon as in this instance, it is uncommon to see them look back with a friendly face.
