Zusammenfassung

Die Binge Eating-Störung (BES) ist die am häufigsten diagnostizierte Essstörung. BES ist gekennzeichnet durch wiederkehrende Essanfälle mit Kontrollverlust. Viele PatientInnen mit BES leiden zusätzlich unter Adipositas und den damit assoziierten somatischen Erkrankungen sowie an komorbiden psychischen Störungen. Die Behandlung der Wahl für BES ist Psychotherapie.
