Annieke W. Gotink et al. Nonthermal resection device for ablation of Barrett’s esophagus: a feasibility and safety study

This pilot study in 30 patients examined the feasibility and safety of a novel nonthermal resection device for eradica„tion of ablation-naïve Barrett’s esophagus (BE) as a first-line ablative technique. The median visual Barrett’s surface regression score was high, but a high rate of adverse events was noted, precluding recommendation of the device as a first-line ablation technique for eradication of BE.
