Abdulbaqi Al-Toma et al. The performance and safety of motorized spiral enteroscopy,
including in patients with surgically altered gastrointestinal anatomy: a multicenter
prospective study
The efficacy of motorized spiral enteroscopy in the evaluation of patients with suspected
small-bowel disorders was explored in this multicenter prospective observational study.
The investigators reported a diagnostic yield of 64 % among 170 consecutively enrolled
patients and a panenteroscopy rate of 70 %. Endotherapy was performed in 54 % of procedures
and no serious adverse events were reported.
