Zusammenfassung
Balint-Gruppenarbeit und Supervision sind verwandte Beratungsformate mit
Gemeinsamkeiten, aber auch mit klaren Unterschieden. In diesem Beitrag
verdeutlicht zunächst ein historischer Rückblick ihrer beider
Entstehungsgeschichte und sieht die zentrale Gemeinsamkeit in der
Professionalität der jeweiligen Beratungsbeziehung. Nach begrifflichen Klärungen
erläutert ein Fallbeispiel die Unterschiede. Während der primäre Gegenstand von
Balint-Gruppenarbeit die Reflexion von professionellen Beziehungen und ihren
unbewussten Verstrickungen darstellt, ist der Gegenstand von Supervision
mehrdimensional, da sie in einer Fallbearbeitung immer das Zusammenspiel
zwischen der Person, ihrer Rolle, der Organisation und der Klientel in den Blick
nimmt und aufklären will.
Abstract
Balint-Groupwork and Supervision are related forms of counseling with
similarities but with clear differences also. In this article a historical
retrospect clarifies first appearance and different developments. The central
congruence of both can be found in the professional relationship during the
particular counseling. After conceptualizing terms and definitions, an example
illustrates the differences between Balint-Groupwork and Supervision. The
primary subject of Balint-Groupwork is discovered in the reflection of
professional relationship and its unconscious entanglements. In contrast: the
subject of Supervision has to be seen as multifaceted, because its case
processing not only focusses the professional relationship but also the
interaction between the person, her role, the organization and its
clientele.
