Körperliche Aktivität im Büroalltag: eine systematische Übersichtsarbeit zur Wirksamkeit von Trainingsinterventionen am Arbeitsplatz auf das muskuloskelettale Schmerzempfinden von Büroangestellten
Physical activity in everyday office life: A systematic review of the effectiveness of workplace exercise interventions on the musculoskeletal pain perception of office workers
Zusammenfassung
Einleitung
In den letzten Jahren hat die Sitzzeit in verschiedenen Berufsgruppen, insbesondere bei Büroangestellten, zugenommen. Langes Sitzen führt häufig zu muskuloskelettalen Schmerzen, hauptsächlich im Nacken-, Schulter- und Rückenbereich. Frühere Übersichtsarbeiten haben gezeigt, dass arbeitsplatzbasierte Maßnahmen mit verschiedenen Arten von körperlicher Aktivität die Schmerzwahrnehmung verbessern. Bislang wurde jedoch nicht ausführlich untersucht, inwieweit Intensität, Umfang und Trainingsart den Erfolg solcher Maßnahmen beeinflussen. Das Hauptziel dieser systematischen Übersichtsarbeit besteht darin, zu bewerten, wie bewegungsorientierte Trainingsinterventionen gestaltet werden müssen, um effektiv muskuloskelettale Schmerzen zu reduzieren.
Methode
Es wurde eine systematische Literaturrecherche in PubMed, SPORTDiscus und SURF mit anschließender narrativer Analyse durchgeführt. Es wurden nur randomisiert kontrollierte Studien berücksichtigt, die Büroangestellte mit akuten oder chronischen muskuloskelettalen Schmerzen und arbeitsplatzbasierte Trainingsinterventionen einschlossen.
Ergebnisse
Dreizehn relevante Studien wurden identifiziert, von denen sich 6 auf Nacken- und Schulterschmerzen, 3 auf Rückenschmerzen und 4 auf multifokale Schmerzen konzentrieren. Zehn dieser Studien berichten über signifikante, positive Auswirkungen von arbeitsplatzbasierten Trainingsinterventionen. In Bezug auf die Interventionsgestaltung im Hinblick auf Intensität, Umfang und Trainingstyp ist eine starke Heterogenität festzustellen.
Schlussfolgerung
Zusammenfassend zeigen die vorliegenden Ergebnisse, dass verschiedene Interventionskonzepte muskuloskelettale Schmerzen reduzieren können. In Bezug auf die Interventionsgestaltung sind moderate bis hohe Intensitäten innerhalb eines spezifischen Kraft- oder Mobilitätstrainings geeignet. Ein zeitlicher Trainingsumfang von bereits wenigen Minuten, 3–5 je Woche, über einen Zeitraum von mindestens 2 Wochen führt bereits zur Schmerzreduktion.
Abstract
Introduction
In recent years, sitting time has increased in various occupational groups, especially among office workers. Prolonged sitting often leads to musculoskeletal pain, mainly in the neck, shoulders and back. Previous reviews have shown that workplace-based interventions with different types of physical activity improve pain perception. However, the extent to which intensity, volume and type of training influence the success of such interventions has not been extensively investigated. The main aim of this systematic review is to assess how exercise-based training interventions need to be designed to effectively reduce musculoskeletal pain.
Methods
A systematic literature search was conducted in PubMed, SPORTDiscus and SURF followed by narrative analysis. Only randomised controlled trials that included office workers with acute or chronic musculoskeletal pain and workplace-based exercise interventions were considered.
Results
Thirteen relevant studies were identified, of which 6 focused on neck and shoulder pain, 3 on back pain and 4 on multifocal pain. Ten of these studies reported significant, positive effects of workplace-based exercise interventions. There was considerable heterogeneity in the design of the interventions in terms of intensity, scope and type of training.
Conclusion
In summary, the present results show that different intervention concepts can reduce musculoskeletal pain. In terms of intervention design, moderate to high intensities within a specific strength or mobility training programme are suitable. A training period of just a few minutes, 3–5 per week, over a period of at least 2 weeks already leads to a reduction in pain.
