Horst Neuhaus et al. A novel colonoscope with 230-degree extra-wide field-of-view optics: a prospective first-in-human pilot study

Endoscopic innovations to increase polyp and adenoma detection rates are continually sought to improve patient outcomes. This prospective study assessed feasibility, safety, and user feedback for a novel colonoscope with a 230-degree field-of-view. All standard quality indicators were met, and the colonoscope was easily integrated into routine workflows. Further controlled trials are required.
