Das Greifswalder Modell der MRSA–Prävention – Maßnahmen zur Kontrolle multiresistenter Erreger

In Deutschland hat in den letzten 15 Jahren eine massive Ausbreitung von MRSA und anderen Antibiotika–resistenten Erregern stattgefunden. Das hat Krankenhäuser gezwungen, ihr Hygiene– und Infektionspräventions–Management zu überprüfen und anzupassen. Am Universitätsklinikum der Ernst–Moritz–Arndt–Universität Greifswald (UKG) wurde ab 2006 ein dicht an die niederländische „search and destroy”–Strategie angelehntes Konzept entwickelt und seit Mitte 2007 umgesetzt. Dieses hat sich als praktikabel, sowie medizinisch und ökonomisch sinnvoll erwiesen und kann Grundlage für Strategien anderer Klinika sein.

A massive spread of MRSA and other multi–resistant germs has been observed in Germany during the past 15 years. Hence, hospitals were compelled to check and revise their hygiene and infection control management in 2006. The Greifswald University Clinic (UKG) of the Ernst–Moritz–Arndt University Greifswald developed a protocol based on the Netherlands "Search–and–Destroy" strategy, which, in 2007, was made standard practice. In the meantime this protocol has turned out to be both feasible and medically and economically useful. It can therefore be used as a model for other medical centers.
