Komplementäre Behandlung der idiopathischen Säuglingsasymmetrie

Die Behandlung der idiopathischen Säuglingsasymmetrie wird derzeit kontrovers diskutiert. Während viele Pädiater eine abwartende, auf Spontanremission basierende Haltung einnehmen, befürworten einige Neuropädiater und auch Kinderorthopäden eine frühe, sanfte und gezielte Einflussnahme in den ersten Lebenswochen, Monaten bzw. im ersten Lebensjahr auf Grundlage neurobiologischer Erkenntnisse und Prinzipien. Die hier vorgestellte kontrollierte, klinische Studie ging der Frage nach, ob osteopathische Behandlungen, gekoppelt mit einem physiotherapeutischen Behandlungskonzept (Vojta), einen höheren Effekt auf die idiopathische Säuglingsasymmetrie haben, als Physiotherapie allein [9].
