Intervention zur Prävention von Diabetes mellitus – Teil 2 – Lebensstilintervention
Intervention for the Prevention of Diabetes mellitus – Lifestyle interventionPublication History
Publication Date:
07 July 2010 (online)
Summary
No one can doubt the outstanding importance of lifestyle intervention for preventing Type 2 diabetes. It is important to advise the patient to follow simple rules of behavior concerning motility and nutrition. This also involves considering the patient's individual situation to avoid overload or underestimation and to adequately motivate him. The „Toolkit for the prevention of type 2 diabetes in europe“ contains easily appreciated tables of the F.I.T.T. principles, the ISS CLEVER principle and tables for general foodstuffs intake.
