Zusammenfassung
Die Kapselendoskopie hat seit ihrer Einführung die Dünndarmdiagnostik revolutioniert. Insbesondere Patienten mit einer vermuteten Dünndarmblutung profitieren von dem Einsatz dieser Methode. Die diagnostische Ausbeute ist jedoch abhängig von der Patientenselektion und dem Zeitpunkt der Untersuchung nach einer stattgehabten Blutung. Bei Nachweis eines pathologischen Befunds kann mithilfe des Kapselergebnisses die Entscheidung über das weitere diagnostische und therapeutische Vorgehen getroffen werden. Die Frage der Abrechnung ist weitgehend geklärt, eine endgültige Bewertung wird noch in diesem Jahr erwartet.
Abstract
Since the introduction of capsule endoscopy in clinical practive, endoscopic examination of the small bowel has dramatically improved. Especially patients with a suspected small bowel bleeding benefit from this procedure. The diagnostic yield depends on the selection bias of the patients and the time of the examination after bleeding. If a relevant lesion was found the result can be highly relevant for further diagnostic and therapeutic approach. The matter of payment is almost cleared and a final assessment is expected in this year.
