Der Fokus auf die Patientensicherheit war oberstes Gebot bei der Erstellung der S3-Leitlinie zur Sedierung in der gas-trointestinalen Endoskopie [1]. Neben Maßnahmen zur Vermeidung wird auch auf Therapien sedierungsassoziierter Zwischenfälle eingegangen.
