UEG WEEK

ESGE LEARNING AREA

UEG Week is the big event this fall, and we hope you will be attending.

Please check the ESGE website for the current schedule of events that take place in the ESGE Learning Area.

Many different procedures are taught in the hands-on training sessions taking place throughout the week. Even if you’ve participated before, stop by and have a look – there is always something new to get involved in, such as pediatric endoscopy or ESD. You will have access to state-of-the-art equipment and accessories and expert teaching from renowned doctors and nurses alike, volunteering their time to pass on their knowledge and skills. Don’t be late, because some of the training sessions require registration, all of them however, are free of charge.

You are also sure to find your special topic of interest being discussed in one of the talks in the Lecture Theatre. highly qualified and well-known endoscopists have been invited to present their views and experience with current endoscopic procedures and techniques. Their counterparts in discussion are equally well-known, in several cases more senior specialists whose role it is to moderate the talk and perhaps critically question the case at hand. For you as a reader, and possibly contributor to Endoscopy, we are holding a special “How to publish” session. It will take place in the Lecture Theatre. You will have the opportunity to learn how to make your successful journey from the early research idea to the finally accepted and published paper. Join Peter Siersema, (Endoscopy EIC) and Lars Aabakken (ESGE President), who are chairing the event and learn invaluable tricks and tips from our key presenters.

If your feet are weary from touring the conference grounds take a break at one of the eLibrary stations where you can sit comfortably and tune in to one of the eLibrary teaching videos at the same time.

Another good reason to visit the Learning Area is to take part in the prize draw. Take five minutes to complete our survey on-site and you will have the chance to win a free registration to a Quality in Endoscopy Symposium of your choice.

We look forward to welcoming you at the ESGE Learning Area in Barcelona!
