Abstract

The spontaneous resolution of a spinal vascular malformation is a rare phenomenon. We report the case of a 19-month-old male infant with a high-flow congenital spinal epidural arteriovenous fistula that completely regressed between the time of diagnostic angiography and planned endovascular treatment. Prior reported instances, potential underlying mechanisms, and implications for management timing and necessity are discussed.
