Dr. Margareta D. Pisarska is the Director, Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, and the Director for Fertility and Reproductive Medicine Center, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Cedars Sinai Medical Center. She is also the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Fellowship Director. She is an Associate Professor, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cedars Sinai Medical Center and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Dr. Pisarska earned her bachelor's degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook and her medical degree from the Upstate Medical Center in New York. She completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City and a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Pisarska was at Stanford University as a National Institutes of Health (NIH)-sponsored Women's Reproductive Health Research Career Center Scholar before joining the faculty at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. One area of her research focuses on ovarian function and dysfunction, including oocyte development, ovarian failure, and polycystic ovary syndrome. She also focuses on adverse pregnancy outcomes associated with abnormal placentation, including the genetics of infertility and the epigenetics of the fertility treatments using a multiple -omics approach to understand how the transcriptome of the first trimester placenta is affected. She has been continuously funded through the NIH/Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development since 2004. She has more than 60 publications, reviews, and committee opinions in journals, including Endocrinology, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Lancet, Fertility and Sterility, and Human Reproduction. Her clinical practice reflects her research as she cares for couples with infertility due to multiple etiologies.

Dr. Pisarska has previously served as the Chair of the Patient Education Committee and the Practice Committee for the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). She continues to serve on various different NIH Study sections. She is currently the Director for the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Division of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

She received multiple awards including the ASRM Star Award for 10 years of research contributions and the Service Milestone Award for over 10 years of service on committees for the ASRM. She has been named Best Doctor in America, America's Top Ob/Gyns, Southern California Super Doctors, and LA Top Doctor for many years.
