An Automatic System for the Management of Drug-Related Literature

An attempt to use an automatic system for the management of drug-related literature is described. The system, which is based on an alphabetical search technique, was designed for an IBM-1800 computer and is used for processing, storage and retrieval of pharmacological and clinical reports and publications.
The mode of input and computer procedures used are briefly reviewed.
Verff. beschreiben ein System zur automatischen Verarbeitung und Auswertung von Schrifttum über Arzneimittel. Das System beruht auf einer Suchtechnik nach Alphabet, wurde für den IBM-1800 Computer entwickelt und wird für die Bearbeitung, Speicherung und das Wiederauffinden von pharmakologischen und klinischen Berichten und Publikationen verwendet. Dateneingabe-Modus und Computer-Prozeduren werden kurz geschildert.
