Summary

A glycine-precipitation method is presented allowing the preparation of human fibrinogen of high clottability and stability at ambient temperature (25 ± 3° C) with a minimum of specialized equipment. From barium sulfate adsorbed plasma, the optimum yield of clottable fibrinogen is found to occur with a 65% relative glycine saturation of plasma.
