Kazuya Akahoshi et al. Endoscopic resection using the Clutch Cutter and a detachable snare for large pedunculated colonic polyps

The Clutch Cutter is a new grasping-type scissors forceps for removing large pedunculated colonic polyps that are prophylactically ligated by a detachable snare. In the present study, Akahoshi et al. show that the Clutch Cutter may be a safe, easy-to-use, and technically efficient device for cutting the stalk of large pedunculated polyps after placement of a detachable snare. Further randomized controlled studies comparing resection with the Clutch Cutter to standard polypectomy are required.
