Leptinresistenz bei adipösen MCS-Kranken

Summary

Die Multiple Chemikaliensensitivität (MCS) ist häufig mit Nahrungsmittelintoleranz kombiniert. Trotz dadurch bedingter Einschränkung der Nahrungszufuhr entwickeln MCS-Kranke z. T. eine Adipositas, die durch Reduktion der Energieaufnahme wenig beeinflussbar ist. Eine Studie an 29 adipösen MCS-Patienten wies eine pathologische Erhöhung der Leptinspiegel nach. Die Bedeutung entzündlicher Reaktionen und der Störung funktioneller Regelkreise im Zusammenhang mit MCS wird diskutiert.
