Zusammenfassung
Die primäre synoviale Chondromatose (SC) ist eine benigne, nodulär konfigurierte,
kartilaginöse, von metaplastischen synovialen Zellen ausgehende Weichgewebsvermehrung.
Der vorliegende historische Fall zeigt eine extraskelettale SC in der Nackenmuskulatur
einer damals 58-jährigen Patientin. Das Röntgenbild zeigt eine umschriebene, makronoduläre
Raumforderung im Weichgewebe des Nackens der Frau. Als Ursprung wird die synoviale
Auskleidung der Bursa subligamentosa nuchalis vermutet. Die Läsion wurde chirurgisch
entfernt und trat innerhalb der folgenden 35 Jahre nicht wieder auf.
Abstract
The primary synovial chondromatosis (SC) is a benign, nodular cartilaginous proliferation
originating from metaplastic synovial cells. This report presents a historical case
of a giant extraskeletal primary SC embedded within the muscular system of the neck
in a 58y/o female. A well defined, macronodular, calcified tumor-like lesion was seen
on x-ray images in the soft tissues of the neck. The synovial lining of a bursa subligamentosa
nuchalis is considered to be the tissue of origin. The lesion was surgically removed
and did not recur within the next 35 years.
