Ein Manöver zur Positionierung der Zunge am Gaumen

Zusammenfassung

Es werden eine klinische Methode und ein Gerät beschrieben, die es erlauben, die Zunge in eine Kontaktposition mit dem harten Gaumen zu bringen. Mit einem Druck anzeigenden Membrantrichter kann der interokklusale Druck angezeigt werden. Auf diese Weise kann überprüft werden, ob ein Unterdruck in der Mundhöhle besteht und die Zunge eine Gaumenkontaktposition einnimmt. Die Methode kann für diagnostische Zwecke und für Biofeedbackübungen bei orofazialen Dyskinesien verwendet werden.

Abstract

A clinical method is described to place the tongue in direct contact with the hard palate using a newly developed simple oral device. A new device consisting of a funnel covered by an elastic membrane allows to display the actual intraoral pressure. The device allows the detection of negative pressure thus indicating the position of the tongue. The method may be used for diagnostic purpose and as well as a biofeedback instrument.
