Mr. Alastair Windsor is a Consultant Surgeon and Chairman of Surgery at St. Mark's Hospital, London. As a British citizen, Mr. Windsor is a product of their superb educational system. He received his initial medical education (MB BS London) at St. Mary's Hospital in London from 1981 to 1986. His subsequent appointments included St. Mary's Hospital, London; St. Margaret's Hospital, Essex; and St. James University Hospital, University of Leeds. Interspersed in these prestigious positions was a research fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in 1990 and London 1991 and was awarded an M.D. in 1995. He assumed his current positions at St. Mark's in 1998 and became Chairman of the Department of Surgery at St. Mark in 2002. He also serves as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Imperial College of Science and Medicine in London.

Mr. Windsor has authored or coauthored more than 65 manuscripts and book chapters. He is a member of multiple medical societies and is a frequent speaker at national and international meetings. He is an active researcher with special interests in surgical nutrition, the pathophysiology of Crohn's disease, and intestinal failure.

Mr. Windsor has a son, Jack, and a daughter, Molly. When not working, his interests include golf, rugby, fly fishing, shooting, and personal computers.
