I would like to thank Dr. Joseph Williams for serving as guest editor of this edition of Seminars in Plastic Surgery. I would also like to thank all of the authors for their contributions to this issue.

Dr. Williams currently holds an appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor at Emory University School of Medicine in the Division of Plastic Surgery and maintains his craniofacial practice in the Center for Craniofacial Deformities at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite. He also serves as the Director of Research.

Before joining Atlanta Plastic Surgery, Dr. Williams had joint appointments with the Craniofacial Center at Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center in Seattle, Washington and an academic position at the University of Washington. He is a graduate from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. After completing his training in plastic surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Williams underwent fellowship training in pediatric and craniofacial surgery at New York University under the direction of Dr. Joseph G. McCarthy. He is an active member of numerous societies including the American Society of Plastic Surgery, American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association, and the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgery. He is also a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Williams has contributed extensively to medical journals and textbooks on the topics of pediatric and craniofacial surgery.
