Medizinische und berufliche Rehabilitation psychisch kranker Menschen - Ergebnisse der RPK-Basisdokumentation 2004

In der Rehabilitation schwer und chronisch psychisch kranker Menschen hat sich das Modell der verzahnten medizinischen und beruflichen Rehabilitation (RPK) bewährt. Die in Deutschland 2004 bestehenden 40 RPK-Einrichtungen haben im Rahmen einer Basisdokumentation Daten aller Rehabilitationsteilnehmer erfasst. Die Auswertung ergibt bei einer Abbruchquote von 35 % gute Ergebnisse hinsichtlich der beruflichen Integration, der Herstellung wirtschaftlicher Autonomie, der Verringerung stationärer psychiatrischer Behandlungsepisoden und der subjektiven Zufriedenheit. Das RPK-Modell erweist sich als erfolgreicher Baustein einer sozialpsychiatrisch orientierten Versorgung.

As far as rehabilitation of serious and chronic psychically ill people is concerned, the combined medical and vocational rehabilitation has proved to be efficient. 40 RPK-institutions, existing in Germany, have recorded data of all participants of rehabilitation of the year 2004 in a basis documentation. The evaluation shows in common with a quota of failure of 35 % good results concerning the vocational integration, the establishment of individual economic autonomy, the reduction of episodes of in-patient psychiatric treatment and the individual inner contentment. The RPK-model proves to be as a successful component of a medical care which is social-psychiatrically orientated.
