Zusammenfassung
Fragestellung: In welchem Ausmaß werden Patienten regelmäßig von Fachärzten gesehen?
Methode: Untersucht wird der Wiederbehandlungsanteil in gebietsärztlichen Praxen ausgewählter
Fachrichtungen im Bereich der KV Mecklenburg-Vorpommern im 4. Quartal 2006. Dazu werden
auf Patienten- und Arztebene die Quartalsstatistiken von fünf aufeinander folgenden
Quartalen herangezogen.
Ergebnis: 60–80% der Patienten von Gebietsarztpraxen sind dort bereits mindestens einmal in
einem der vier Vorquartale gesehen worden.
Zusammenfassung: Wie eine derart hohe Rate von Wiederbehandlungsfällen bei gleichzeitig langen Wartelisten
in den Facharztpraxen und einer parallel dazu ansteigenden Überversorgung – gemessen
an der Gesamtzahl der Praxen pro Einwohner – zu verstehen ist, muss weiteren klärenden
Untersuchungen überlassen bleiben. Für Hypothesen dazu gibt es Hinweise, da die Wartezeiten
in Hausarztpraxen nicht zunehmen.
Abstract
Background: Patients insured with statutory health insurance schemes face longer waiting times
for specialist appointments than previously, even though the number of specialist
physicians is rising. To determine the reasons, the study investigates the percentage
of follow-up appointments in specialist practices.
Methods: Based on the quarterly statistics of patients and physicians in the statutory health
insurance system over five consecutive quarters, the percentage of follow-up appointments
in the 4th quarter of 2006 is determined.
Results: In any of the specialist practices, 60–80% of patients had been seen there before
at least once during one of the four previous quarters.
Conclusion: It needs further studies to explain this high rate of re-appointments with specialists
– especially because the number of specialists is steadily increasing as well as their
waiting lists are doing. Background for hypothesis could be that the time to get an
appointment with a General practitioner is no real problem.
