Zum Thema

Die Analyse der Ursachen der Müttersterblichkeit in England [1] zeigt, dass der mütterliche Suizid nach der Wochenbettperiode die häufigste Todesursache ist. Dabei stellen die anamnestisch bekannte Depression (Inzidenz: 15–30 %) und die postpartale Depression (Inzidenz: 10 %) die bedeutendsten psychischen Erkrankungen von Müttern dar.
