Summary

A cumulative score procedure (cuscore) is compared with Rina Chen’s sets technique. Cumulative score procedures make a faster detection of subtle epidemics of rare diseases possible. Besides, the implementation of this new sequential technique is very simple. Therefore, the use of the cuscore procedure instead of the sets technique is recommended.

Das Cuscore-Verfahren, eine neue sequentielle Methode, wird mit Rina Chens Gruppentechnik verglichen. Es ermöglicht eine schnellere Entdeckung geringer Zunahmeraten seltener Krankheiten. Außerdem ist es leicht zu implementieren. Deshalb wird empfohlen, das Cuscore-Verfahren anstelle der Gruppentechnik zu verwenden.
