Die Reform des Psychotherapeutengesetzes gibt Anlass zur Reflexion, nicht nur bezüglich der Verbesserung der Rahmenbedingungen für angehende Psychotherapeuten, sondern auch bezüglich der Frage, ob die vorhandene Verfahrensorientierung dem aktuellen Stand der Forschung noch entspricht. In mehreren Beiträgen in den letzten Monaten entstand diesbezüglich eine Debatte, wobei manche Stimmen für die Unverzichtbarkeit der Verfahrensorientierung argumentieren [1], andere diese jedoch als nicht mehr zeitgemäß ansehen und sich für eine „Verfahrensintegration“ und eine „kompetenzorientierte Psychotherapie-Qualifikation“ einsetzen [2] [3].
