Musik kann bei selektiv mutistischen Kindern aufgrund ihrer nonverbalen Möglichkeiten
eine Brücke zur Sprache schaffen. Eine mehrstufige Studie hatte das Ziel, ein Konzept
für den gezielten Einsatz von Musik (-therapie) bei Kindern mit selektivem Mutismus
abzuleiten. Ergebnis ist das Musiktherapie-Konzept „MUTsik – Mutismus und Musiktherapie“,
das auf der Erfahrung eines musikalischen „Safe Place“ basiert.
Abstract
The article presents a multi-stage study that aimed to derive a concept for the targeted
use of music (therapy) in children with selective mutism. In a first step, German-language
individual case studies and reports were found and analyzed through a literature search.
In a second step, interviews were conducted with experts from speech and music therapy
(MT) about the possible potential and content approaches of MT for children with selective
mutism. In the third step, the concept of MUTsik – mutism and music therapy was derived
from the analysis of these preliminary studies. The result is a multi-level music
therapy concept based on the experience of a musical safe place.
