From Trial to Trial: Diminishing Effects Sizes of Interventions for Myopia Control – a Call for Critical Reassessment

Myopia and the reduction of its progression in children and adolescents is an exciting area of research, with promising developments as well as numerous unanswered questions. This issue of Klinische Monatsblätter für Augenheilkunde addresses the multifaceted challenge of myopia featuring a series of English-language articles covering myopia epidemiology, retinal complications of high myopia, pharmacologic treatment with atropine, optical inventions, and chromatic light therapy. My thanks go to all authors for their support, enthusiasm, and time invested in this special issue!
