Significance

The catalytic asymmetric Nozaki-Hiyama (NH) reaction provides direct access to useful chiral alcohols. Utilizing a novel chiral chromium catalyst, the authors report an efficient enantioselective propargylation of benzaldehyde derivatives, providing chiral homopropargyl alcohols with good yields and enantioselectivities.
