Significance
Fluorous silica gel (FSG) supported palladium nanoparticles (Pd-1/FSG) were prepared via immobilization of perfluoro chain functionalized benzene 1 stabilized palladium nanoparticles (Pd-1) on FSG by fluorous-fluorous interactions. Pd-1/FSG catalyzed the arylation of indoles with aryl halides to give the corresponding 2-arylindoles in up to 92% yield (19 examples).
