Significance

In this paper asymmetric Ir-catalyzed allylic amination reactions involving hydroxamic acid derivatives were accomplished with excellent regio- and enantioselectivities; the resulting products are of interest as precursors of N-hydroxy aza-sugars, antibiotics and peptidomimetics. Synthetic routes to tetrahydro-1,2-oxazines/piperidones were established.
