Introduction

Tumors arising from Brunner's glands in the duodenum are very rare [1] [2] [3] . To our knowledge, only 144 cases have been reported to date in the literature; and many of them have been incidental findings at barium studies or at laparotomy. Of those that produce symptoms, most do so because of hemorrhage and bleeding. Obstruction resulting in pancreatitis has not been reported. Herein, we report a case of Brunner's gland hyperplasia (BGH) presenting with acute pancreatitis.
