Significance

A facile new method for the deprotection of organophosphorus-borane complexes using polymer-supported piperazines was developed. Thus, the reactions of organophosphorus-borane complexes were performed with a piperazinomethyl polystyrene resin (2-5 mol equiv) in toluene or THF for 1.5-22 h at 60-115 °C to give the corresponding deprotected phosphorus compounds in 68-100% yield (10 substrates). The products were isolated by a simple filtration without further purification.
