Significance

In spite of the fact that several methods for enantioselective amination of enecarbamates have been developed, these systems typically require relatively high catalyst loading and/or limited substrate scope. This paper is the first to demonstrate catalytic asymmetric amination of enecarbamates catalyzed by a chiral diamine-copper complex using azodicarboxylates.
