Significance

Phosphoramidite ligands have found numerous applications in metal-catalyzed asymmetric reactions. This report focuses on the less-known class of chiral phosphordiamidite ligands. Ten types of these ligands have been preliminarily screened in the iridium-catalyzed allylic etherification. DFT calculations of π-allyliridium intermediates provide explanation for the observed reverse facial selectivity upon switching the P- and N-substituents.
