Zusammenfassung

Zwischen Mitte 1984 und Ende 1986 wurden 95 Laserfadendurchtrennungen bei hohem postoperativem Astigmatismus durchgeführt (entspricht rund 7% der im gleichen Zeitraum ausgeführten Kataraktoperationen). Anhand der verwertbaren Resultate (84 Fälle) können bei Operationstechnik mit korneoskleralem Dreistufenschnitt hinsichtlich einer komplikationsfreien und wirkungsvollen Astigmatismusreduktion Regeln aufgestellt werden.

Summary

Between July 1984 and December 1986 a total of 95 suture releases were performed at the author's clinic in cases of severe postoperative astigmatism (i. e., in 7% of all the cataract surgery patients treated during that period). On the basis of an analysis of 84 cases, guidelines were drawn up for the management of severe postoperative astigmatism following three-step corneo scleral incisions.
