Significance
Site-selective late-stage functionalizations are effective strategies for enhancing the activity of peptides with complex structures. The authors have demonstrated noncanonical peptide preparation by functionalizing the serine unit of a peptide chain.
Comment
Functionalization of the serine unit of a peptide chain was performed with the help of photocatalysis. The reaction could be applied to oligopeptides in good yields.
