Whereas the classification criteria of DSM IV and ICD-10 exclude a comorbidity of ADHD and autism spectrum disorders in the same patient, in clinical practice a constellation is found not seldom, which refers to such a comorbidity or demands an – often difficult – differential diagnostic decision. This has therapeutic consequences. An overview of the literature is given and relevant case reports in adulthood are described.
