Significance

Toll-like receptor 7 (TLR7) recognizes single-stranded RNA from viral pathogens and helps mount a challenge to them. PF-4171455 is an agonist of TLR7 that is of interest for antiviral applications. An 11-step synthesis delivered 8.8 kg of the target molecule in 11% overall yield.
